EDUCATION

Education is an important part of our community. Parkersburg and Vienna have several grade schools and two high schools. Parkersburg High School and Parkersburg Catholic High School are both located on the North End. Higher education schools in the area are – WVU-Parkersburg,
​Ohio Valley University, Marietta College and Washington State Community College.

MARIETTA COLLEGE
Some of the fastest-growing occupations require strong preparation in one or all of the STEM areas — Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. Marietta offers a strong mix of programs in all of these areas, including the only Petroleum Engineering program at a liberal arts school.
